These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Squad application and services ("Squad", "we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using Squad, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree, you may not use Squad.
Squad is a technology platform that enables users to create, organize, discover, and participate in sport sessions and related activities ("Sessions").
Squad is not:
All Sessions are user-generated and independently organized by users, not by Squad. Each Session is independently created and managed by a user acting as an independent organizer. Squad does not act as, and shall not be deemed to be, the organizer or operator of any Session.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) to use Squad. By using Squad, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, all information you provide is accurate and complete, and you will comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, all activity conducted under your account, and ensuring your profile information is accurate and up to date.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at our sole discretion for any reason, including suspected misuse or risk to platform integrity.
4.1 No Control or Endorsement
Squad does not control, endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of Session listings, the identity, behavior, or reliability of participants, or the safety, legality, or conditions of any Session.
4.2 Voluntary Participation
Participation in any Session is entirely voluntary, at your own risk, and subject to your independent judgment. You are solely responsible for deciding whether to attend or participate in any Session.
You acknowledge and agree that participation in sports and physical activities involves inherent and significant risks, including but not limited to physical injury (minor or severe), illness, property damage, contact with other participants or third parties, and environmental or external conditions.
By using Squad and participating in Sessions, you knowingly, voluntarily, and expressly assume all risks, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable. You agree that Squad has no responsibility for monitoring, preventing, or mitigating such risks.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you hereby release, waive, and discharge Squad and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of or related to participation in any Session, interactions with other users, user-generated content, or use or inability to use the platform.
This includes claims arising from negligence, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We reserve the right to remove content or restrict access at any time.
You retain ownership of content you submit. By submitting content, you grant Squad a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, distribute, and operate such content in connection with the service.
Squad relies on third-party providers including Firebase (Google), Expo, and Sentry. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their terms and privacy policies may apply.
Squad is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, safety or reliability of Sessions, uninterrupted or error-free operation, and accuracy of user-generated content.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Squad shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, personal injury, property damage, or any harm arising from user interactions or Sessions.
Squad's total aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount paid by you to use the service (if any), or (b) USD $100.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Squad and its affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the platform; (b) your participation in Sessions; (c) your violation of these Terms; (d) your violation of any law or third-party rights; or (e) any claims arising from your interactions with other users.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Squad at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms, suspected fraud or misuse, or risk to users or platform integrity. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in New York, except where prohibited by mandatory local law.
We may update these Terms at any time. If changes are material, we will notify you via the app or email. Continued use of Squad after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Squad does not owe any fiduciary duty or special duty of care to any user. Your use of the platform is at your own discretion and risk.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
Squad may assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent.
